Cathy Sullivan-Windt
Owner and Psychologist in Baltimore & Maryland
We all go through trying times. As a psychologist, mother, and business owner in Baltimore, I understand the many stressors of balancing work and home life with taking care of yourself and those you love. My goal is to provide clients with a supportive space to learn and practice new skills.
Hi! I’m Janel, the Care Coordinator for New Connections Counseling Center.
What sets us apart?
What sets us apart at New Connections is our team. We believe it is a bad idea for the person you are trusting some of the most intimate parts of yourself (or your relationship) to be overworked and under-compensated. Instead, we want them to be fully present with you. We feel strongly that this only happens when it is intentionally created and encouraged, and we aim to do just that.
When clinicians are well cared for, clients will receive the highest quality of care. Our therapists are highly compensated and carry caseloads significantly smaller than the industry average, which allows them to offer very personalized treatment.
Our team is composed of expert, hand-picked clinicians recruited from university, government, and community mental health backgrounds who were selected based on their level of expertise, character, culture, and connection to our mission.
What is our therapists' commitment?
Every therapist in the New Connections Counseling Center team is here because we genuinely love what we do and want to help others. Our commitment is to provide excellent therapy in a comfortable and relaxing setting, holding the space for your healing.
We’ll use our education and experience to walk along this path with you. Together we can overcome the challenges you’re facing and develop valuable life skills so you can thrive.
When are our therapists available?
Our therapists offer early morning, day, and evening (and a few weekend) appointments. For your convenience, everyone on our team provides online therapy in Maryland. You can also choose a therapist that is available for in-person therapy in our Baltimore office.
Want to know more about scheduling? Book a free 15-minute consultation, and we’ll answer all your questions.
Is therapy covered by my insurance?
We are out-of-network providers, which means we do not participate directly with any insurance company.
However, if your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, you should receive some reimbursement. This means our clients pay upfront for services and then we submit a claim to the insurance company on their behalf as a courtesy.
Most insurance companies that provide out-of-network benefits cover between 50%-75% of the cost per session. Check out our free calculator to get an estimate of your reimbursement.
